The city of Corrientes is the most populated and capital of the province Corrientes. The province is located on the northeast of Argentina, and Corrientes city is placed on the southwest of the province. It shares frontere with the capital os Chaco province, Resistencia, separated jut by the Paraná river.

Corrientes is close to cities as: Resistencia, General José de San Martín, Formosa, Posadas, Mercedes, Oberá, Bella Vista and Villa Angela. It is also near from some cities of Paraguay (Asunción, Encarnación, Pilar, San Ignacio) and Brazil (Foz do Iguaçu, Cascavel, Chapecó and Santa María).

Although Corrientes is not one of the most visited places of Argentina, its tourism has grown in the last years. Some of its most visited places are: La Costanera de Corrientes, El Puente General Manuel Belgrano, La Catedral de Corrientes, El Centenario Shopping, Los Esteros de Iberá and El Balneario Paso de la Patria.

Information about Posadas:

The city of Posadas, is the capital of the Province of Misiones. Misiones is located in northwest Argentina, while Posadas, at the same time, is located in the northern zone of Misiones, bordering Paraguay, only separated by the Paraná River, and very close to the Paraguayan city of Encarnación. The city of Misiones has around 270,000 inhabitants.

Some localities near Posadas are: Apostles, Oberá, Leandro N. Alem, Ituzaingó, Puerto Iguazú and San Vicente, and also some Paraguayan localities such as: Fram, Encarnación, Obligado and Yuti.

Since the year 2000, tourism in the city of Posadas has only increased, and is one of the most visited cities in Argentina. Some of the most visited and popular touristic attractions of Posadas are: Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cathedral Church of Posadas, Plaza San Martín, the popular Costanera, different tours through the Paraná River, and Monumento Andrés Guazurari.

It is also popular to tour and visit different natural reserves (such as the Reserva Estricta San Antonio) and ruins.
