Uspallata is part of the province of Mendoza located at a crossroads (Route 7, Route 52 and Route 149). Along with the city of Uspallata runs its river, called Río Uspallata that joins the Río Mendoza.

This historic town was the meeting place for the army troops that crossed Los Andes under the command of General José de San Martín and currently has accommodation, restaurants, service station, shops, mechanical workshop, medical post and the Infantry Regiment of Army Mountain. In the town you can visit the Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Cuyo.

A few kilometers from the border with the Republic of Chile, Las Cuevas offers a different alternative in an imposing landscape. Whether in winter or summer, nobody wants to miss the chance to enjoy the climate and the sensations that the mountain range offers.

Unmissable appointment for those who have the mountain range far from home, located more than three thousand meters high, Las Cuevas is a picturesque high mountain town. Among its attractions are its Nordic and Scandinavian style houses, made with logs and stones. One of its most characteristic constructions is a building with a large portal that was the obligatory path to Chile. Tourists are impressed with the majesty of the mountain, and hundreds of photos are taken in each landscape that amazes them.

Most of the high mountain excursions that take place from the city of Mendoza have Las Cuevas as a route. The road from Mendoza ascends a mountain route with many curves, tunnels and beautiful landscapes.

Its three main attractions are: Cristo Redentor, Aconcagua Provincial Park and Cóndor Andino Natural Reserve.
