The city of San Juan is the capital of the homonymous province (Province of San Juan) and is located in the Argentina region of Cuyo, in the centre of the country.

The province has a population of around 680,000 inhabitants, thus, becoming the 13th most inhabited province of Argentina. Like Mendoza, is bordered to the east by the Cordillera de Los Andes, and also stands out in the area of vitiviniculture, as well as the Province of Mendoza.

Luján is an Argentinian city located within the province of Buenos Aires, and is also part of the Luján district. Luján is situated west of the city of Buenos Aires, at about 70 kilometers, to be precise.

Although as a city it may seem small, Luján has around 70,000 inhabitants. Although it is not a very large city, the number of people visiting or traveling to Luján has been increasing, especially in this last decade, and particularly from other points of Argentina (domestic tourism).
