Tarija is a town located in central-southern Bolivia, almost bordering Argentina. The city has an estimated population of 150,000 inhabitants,so it's far from being one of the first most populated cities in the country.

Tarija has an economy based on the wine industry, the height in which the city is located, and its climate, make it, potentially, a favorable environment for the growth of grapevines.
